Co!nr"dn <br /> <br />Gentlemen; <br /> <br />In reply to your request. an cxamin,ltiun has bccn maue of the <br />financial transflctions of the ,Arbns;J.s River Cnmract Administr<ltinn <br />for its fifth "Report YCJr," November I, 1953 to Octoher 31, 1954. <br />The results of this audit are: expressed in. the a.ttached Statement of <br />Casn Receipts and Disbursrment5--Scnedule !, page No.4. Tne fol- <br />lowing remarks arc offered as additional information and also tend to <br />describe the extent of the auditing work performed. <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />General Comments <br />Scnedule !, page No. 4 reflects tne beginning balance of clSn in <br />bank, expenditures by cla.ssification and the ending h:d.1nce of cash 111 <br />bank. <br />As noted on the a-fore mentioned Schedule no funds were received <br />from the States of Colorado and Kansas during the year under review. <br />Calls for funds were authorized, however, in the minutes of the Admin- <br />istration's meeting of October 26, 1954. The amounts due from Colo- <br />rado (60% sn"re) of $1,440.00 and Kansas (40% share) of $960.00 <br />will then be sho'\.vn in the subsequent year. <br />All disbursements were made by checks drawn on the Adminis- <br />tration's account at the First National Bank in Lamar, Colorado. The <br />individual checks were examined for amount, signature and endorse- <br />mcnt. Amounts so expended were substantiated by verification of each <br />payment to the payee's statement, authorization by the Administration <br />as evidenced in minutes of the representatives' meetings or other sup- <br />porting evide.nce. All minutes of the Administration's meetings for the <br />year under review were examined for information rel.1ting to ac~ount' <br />ing matters. <br />The Secretary's salary for the current year of $1,200.00 has been <br /> <br />13 <br />
