Ultimat~ storage capacity for the ten
reservoirs as now proposed would be 48,555,000 acre-feet and the power in-
stallations would generate approximately 9 billion kilowatt hours initially
and 6 billion kilowatt hours after full development of the Upper Basin in
accordance with Compact provisions. .

The new irrigation projects recommended for initial participation
in the Colorado River Storage Project are:

La Barge Project, Wyoming
Seedskadee Project, Wyoming
Lyman Project, Wyoming
Smith Fork Project, Colorado
Silt Project, Colorado
Pine River Extension Project, Colorado-New Mexico
Florida Project, Colorado-New Mexico
Hammond Project, New Mexico
Central Utah Project (initial:phase), Utah
Emery County Project, Utah

The Eden Project in Wyoming, and the ?aonia Project, COlorado, are
partially completed projects recommended for. participation. ?rovision has
been made in tentative schedules for immediate undertaking of detailed in-
vestigations and preconstruction activities at the storage sites and for
the initial group of participating projects,. should the Bureau of Reclama-
tion receive authorizations requested in bill being prepared by the Upper
Colorado River Commission. The Bureau will ,continue study of additional
irrigation and multiple-purpose projects to :determine each project's feasi.
bility and eligibility for participation in!the benefits of the Colorado
River Storage ?roject plan. The Colorado R~ver development fund will
provide approximately one-half the funds ne~ded for this investigation
program.

The Colorado River Storage ?roject:Report and its supplements are
now before the Secretary of the Interior, for transmittal to the Bureau of
the Budget and Congress with comments of States and Federal agencies. The
comments of the States are construed tobs favorable, as are those of the
majority of the interested Federal agencies,. The Corps of Engineers,
Department of the Army, has been critical or the plan, pointing out espe-
cially that the participating projects would not repay .their own capital
investment costs in full.
