The ultimate step in recording and dissemi-,
nating drainage area data would probably be a report, complete for a major
river basin and. coordinated, among ,all interested agencies, similar to that,
entitled, 'Drainage Area Data - Arkansas and White River Ba,sins'; published
by the Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Dallas, ,Texas, in', "
December 1948". The principal revisions
incorporated in. this report are the segration of noncontributing and con-"
tributing areas in the Arkansas and White River Bas~ns; the preparation '
of a revised format tabulation to facilit, ate the "taking off" of noncon-
tributing and contributing drainage area data between ,points of determina-
tions; and revisions to take into account recent surveys and maps, new
drainage area determinations made since publication of last paraphlets at
such points as newly established gaging stations, dam sites and similar
points; additive errors and river mileages.
