The\ r thought
and concern produced the number and qua lHy of recommendat 1 ons found 1 n
th1s report. Several Comm1ttee members also contr1buted to subcommittees
appo1nted to draft specH1c leg1slat1ve proposals. The cha1rs of those
two subcommittees, Dav1d Harr1son and Clyde Hartz deserve spec1al
recognit1on for the1r efforts. We are grateful for
the1r part1c1pat10n.

In add\t\on to comm1ttee members, several other people participated
1n meet1ngs and worked on leg1slative proposals. Her great help 1n draft1ng leg1slat1ve proposals enhanced the
Conm1ttee's product.

The Conm\ttee's work put extra burdens on the Department of Natural
Resources' staff. Ch1ps Barry did much of the organ\zat1onal work and \s
respons1ble for the comprehens1ve m1nutes that prov1de a useful record of
Comm1ttee meet1ngs. Barbara Welles was generous w1th her time 1n
ass1st1ng theConm1ttee. Ter" lamph\er handled the CommHtee's
secretar1al work.

We were fortunate to have the adv1ce of John Huyler of Accord
Assoc1ates. He helped us plan our meet1ngs to get the max1mum
part1c1pat1on from the group and st1ll complete our work on schedule.
The COf1l1lHtee enjoyed the benefit of several people who made
presentat1ons.
