The resulting targets shown in Table 6 were used to simulate

I

Blue Mesa operations in the model.

I

TABLE 6: Adjusted Blue Mesa Storage Target (end of month/l000 acre feet)

I

Oct

Nov

Dec

Jan

Feb

Mar

Apr

Mav

Jun

Jul

AUQ

Sep

I

702

641

576

483

409

344

468

538

748

824

798

755

I
I

This adjustment in Blue Mesa storage targets allows Blue Mesa storage

and Taylor Park exchange operations to be examir,ed independer.tly and

simplifies the model. The operation of the exchange with the unadjusted

I

Blue Mesa targets is illustrated in Section 111.0. below.

I

H. Evaporation

I

Reservoir evaporation is determined by the model at the end of each

I
I

month and subtracted from ending reservoir contents. The model prevents

reservoir contents from becoming negative by anticipating the amount of

evaporation which would occur should the reservoir be emptied in any

I

month. This quantity of water is reserved for evaporation in each month.

I

I

WBLA, Inc. 1909 Broadway, 83, Boulder, Colorado 80302

I
