<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City of Walsenburg <br /> <br />The city of Walsenburg obtains its municipal water supply from the <br />Cucharas River and Wahatoya Creek. The l6-inch Walsenburg pipeline diverts <br />water into Wahatoya Lake from the Cucharas River just upstream from the town <br />of La Veta. The Francisco and Daigre (Hill) ditch diverts water into Wahatoya <br />Lake from both the Cucharas River and Wahatoya Creek. Overflow from Wahatoya <br />Lake, 274 acre-feet capacity, is stored in Daigre Lake, l39 acre-feet <br />(fig. l7).
