<br />Caballo Reservoir.--Water-stage recorder in SEtSWt sec. 19, T. 16 S., R. 4 W., at dam on
<br />Rio Grande. Storage began Feb. 8, 1938; capacity, 344,000 acre-ft (by 1958 survey), at
<br />gage height, 4,182.0 ft (above which spillway gates open automatically). Datum of ~a~e
<br />is 43.3 ft above mean sea level, datum of 1929. 100,000 acre-ft of storage reserved
<br />for flood control. Records furnished by Bureau of Reclamation.
