Seasonal results will be cumulatively

added annually and unit values revised for use in revising

cumulative effects on a project-wide basis.

D. HYDRO-SALINITY WEATHER STATIONS:

Weather data, for the McElmo Creek M&E program, will be

evaluated to estimate evapotranspiration (ET) requirements of the

crops. The difference between infiltration and ET will reflect

deep percolation. Salt load reduction attributed to irrigation

water management will be based on reduced deep percolation. Soil

moisture will be monitored to assess the uniformity with which

irrigation water is applied and to check the validity of applying

ET evaluation across the priority areas.

1. Two weather stations are scheduled for installation this

year. One ET weather station will be installed by the M&E team and

one complete weather station will be installed by the Extension

Service.
