<br />Coordinated Planning
<br />
<br />General. The Coordinated Planning Subcommittee continued
<br />throughout Fiscal 1968 with its activities incoordirtating and
<br />supervising the, preparation of the Framework reports 'for the
<br />,Upper Color,ado Basin, the Lower Colorado Basin, 'and: 'the
<br />California Region. Near the end of the year 'the CPS ':was a1s'o en-
<br />gaged in preliminary w<;>rk looking to preparation, when' author-
<br />ized and.,fu,nded, of the Framework Study Report', for the Great
<br />Ba,sin.
<br />
<br />Meetings. CPS met four times during the year in Cheyenne,
<br />Wyoming, ,on August 29, 1967; in Las Vegas, Nevada, on
<br />December 5, 1967; in Phoenix, Arizona; on March 12, 1961l; and
<br />in Demr,er, Colorado, on, June 18, 1968. Much of the work of the
<br />CP& was:, carried O\lt through special task forces or"through the
<br />Executive Staff, which met monthly throughout, the year. The
<br />list following gives the more important items considered and
<br />acted on, by CPS or its Executive Staffl'

<br />(a). Co,ordiJ:lation of the Regional Chap,ters of the National
<br />AssessmeJ:lt, review of portions"of the draft, and estab-'
<br />lishment of the potential irrigable areas of the Pacific
<br />Southwest.

<br />(b) Preparation of a statement 'on policy for development of
<br />costs to be included in the framework reports.
<br />
<br />(c) Preparation of a list of alternative levels of, economic
<br />development, to be used throughout;the area;
<br />
<br />(d) Coordin~ting preparation of a ,Publictnformation Brochure
<br />under the direct s\lpervision of Mr. William T. Davoren of
<br />the Department of the InteriOr.
