The chairman agency was the U.S, Department of Agricul-
ture, Soil Conservation Service.

f"

By consensus of the committee, it was a primary objective of the
chairmanship to orient and organize quarterly meetings, banquets,
and programs of mutual interest and value to the State and Federal
member agencies of PSIAC. One result of this course was the
appearance of the Governors of wyoming, Arizona, and Colorado as
banquet speakers, These Chief Executives utilized the forum of
the PSIAC banquets to speak on subjects of their choice but specif-
ically relating to water and related land resources. The addresses
of the Governors were outstanding and of great benefit to PSIAC.
Each address was a contribution to public understanding.

.q

"'"

Another objective was to adopt quarterly meeting themes which
would provide .for programs of value to PSIAC in connection with
on-going Type I river basin studies and for over-all information
purposes. Further, it was most important that outstanding subject
matter and policy making and administering authorities appear as
program speakers. Efforts in this direction resulted in having
as featured program speakers, men of Assistant Cabinet rank, Agency
Deputy Administrators, State Water Board officials, Heads of Uni-
versity Departments, and specialists from the private sector.

~'

If'

PSIAC MEETINGS 1968 FY

~

67-3 Meeting - Cheyenne, wyoming
August 29 and 30; 1967

THE BANQUET

An address titled "Regional Water Development" was given by the
Honorable Stanley K.
