<br />----------~-------~ <br /> <br />S874 Illustrative Tool Input Parameters Form <br /> <br />Page 1 of4 <br /> <br />This illustrative tool was developed as part of the SB74 study to demonstrate the interrelationships between <br />population, water demands, water supply options and resulting effects on surface water and groundwater resources <br />within the South Platte basin of Colorado. <br /> <br />The tool allows the user to select a future water supply scenario based on population growth and water supply options <br />for each of three regions within the South Platte basin, Relevant information on population, existing water supplies <br />and future water supply plans is provided in the input page along with several example future scenarios. <br /> <br />The tool illustrates the effects of a specified scenario with respect to surface water flows; transbasin d~versions, <br />Denver Basin groundwater use and conversion of in-basin irrigated agriculture. Effects on surface water flows are <br />shown at five gage locations on the South Platte River. <br /> <br />CA VEA T: This tool has been developed for general illustrative purposes and should not be considered as an <br />analytical model.
