Colorado. Three dams <br />and reservoirs are on the <br />upper eastern slope; Sugar <br />Loaf Dam, which forms <br />Turquoise Lake, Mt. Elbert <br />Forebay Dam and Reservoir. <br />and Twin Lakes Dam and <br />Twin Lakes. Pueblo Dam and <br />Reservoir, the largest of the <br />Fryingpan-Arkansas Project <br /> <br />T.....in Lakes <br /> <br />. . 'ii" <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />. <br />'. 'it.:. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mt. Elbert Powerplanl <br /> <br />storage units, is located on <br />the Arkansas River just west <br />of Pueblo, Colorado. These <br />reservoirs allow the state to <br />divert and store part of ils <br />Colorado River allotment. <br /> <br />Sixteen diversion <br />structures are located on <br />the western slope and one <br />on the eastern slope.
