Elbert <br />Forebay and Power plant <br />complex is water based, <br />wilh fishing and boating <br />the major activities. There <br />were nearly two million <br />visitor hours of <br />recreational use in 1993. <br />Facilities consists of two <br />boat ramps, boat and <br />trailer parking, five other <br />parking areas and two <br />picnic areas with minimum <br />sanitary facilities. The <br />Forest Service manages <br />these facilities as well. <br /> <br />Recreation development <br />at Pueblo Reservoir has <br />helped fulfill the need lor <br />water-based recreation in <br />southeastern Colorado. <br />Recreation facilities were <br />buill by the Bureau of <br />Reclamation and are <br />managed by the Colorado <br />Division of Parks and <br />Outdoor Recreation. <br />There are two marinas. <br />five campgrounds with <br />400 campsites. four group <br />picnic sites. five picnic <br />areas, north and south <br />shore boat ramps and <br />numerous fishing access <br />areas along the reservoir. <br />The development features <br />solar-heated buildings. <br />
