I would like to show color <br /> <br />RUdes and describe the status of the features as you view them. <br /> <br />RuecH Dam and Reservoir. <br /> <br />So far, recreation has been the big thing at Ruedi. The <br /> <br />Forest Service has provided 68 sites for camping and day use, <br /> <br />electricity, sanitation facilities. a boat ramp and parking lot. <br /> <br />Sailboate and picnicking in a sheltered cove. . . <br /> <br />. . . and mountains oJ beautiful scenery. <br /> <br />SUj1;ar Loaf Dam provides storage on the eastern slope near <br /> <br />Leadville. <br /> <br /> <br />Turquoise Lake viewed from the vicinity of the dilcharge <br /> <br /> <br />('11t1..~ of Boustead Tunnel. Recreation facilities, even better than <br /> <br /> <br />at Ruedi, are planned around this lake, but funding to complete <br /> <br />has heen delayed. <br /> <br />Boustead Tunnel west portal or inlet side when it was holed <br /> <br />t':1rough two years ago. <br /> <br />A turmel-lining crew in action. Lining in Boustead Tunnel <br /> <br />is going on similar to this and is about 60 percent complete. <br /> <br />The contractor's estimated completion date is Aug'ust 1, 1971 <br /> <br />(we hope it will be earlier) which means that, barrinl unforeseen <br /> <br />circumstances, the Boustead Tunnel will become operatlve this <br /> <br />2 <br />
