continuing. Name carving on the top of the bridge is very prevalent.
Reflecti ng on the rate of erosion of the weathered surface of the
bridge is the fact that a large group of names reportedly carved
on the bridge top by a visiting troop in the sumner of 1974 has almost
disappeared. The carving also increases the rate of erosion by the
natural elements.

10. Sedimentation Surveys
Surveys performed in Bridge Creek Canyon in October 1975 show no

'significant change in sedimentation.
11. Meteorological Oata
The meteorological raft with the appropriate instruments which is

stationed in Bridge Creek Canyon is performing satisfactorily with
minor instrument adjustment in providing data required for this
monitoring program. This data consists of continuous recording of
wind speed, wind direction, air and water temperature, relative
humidity and barometric pressure.
12. Lovar Tape r'leasurefilents Across Bri dqe Creek Canyon
It has been decided to delete this method of canyon width measurement
because of the numerous unavoidable human and mechanical errors which

are inherent in any tape or chain measurements. The slightest dis-
turbance by the many visitors to the Monument would also render this

method ineffective. The interlocking quadrilateral survey system
