<br />C) <br /> <br />N <br />~ <br />c.n <br />co <br /> <br />PREFACE <br /> <br />This report, which pertains to mosquito control and <br />allied problems associated with the development of water and <br />related land resources, was prepared by the Public Health ~',i!rvice. <br />The material on water storage and flood control was furnished by <br />the Corps of Engineers, the Bureau of Reclamation, and t~e <br />Department of Agriculture; that on irrigation and reclamation <br />programs by the Bureau of Reclamation; on navigation by ',he Carps <br />of Engineers; on native plant cover and watershed and improvement <br />programs by the Department of Agriculture; on fish and wildlife <br />programs by the Fish and \-lildlife Service; on recreAtion by the <br />National Park Service; and on the various disease and pest <br />problems and existing programs for their control by State health <br />departments and the Public Health Service. The State health <br />departments have rendered valuable assistance in carrying out the <br />study, both during the course of and for many years prior to the <br />A\.JR studies. <br />
