Fassett <br />Jennifer Hager <br /> <br />I am pleased to enclose for your information the 1990 salinity opera- <br />tions report under the agreement with Mexico entitled, "Permanent and <br />Definitive Solution to the International Problem of the Salinity of <br />the Colorado River," incorporated in Minute No. 242 of this Commission <br />dated August 30, 1973. The report also describes developments relat- <br />ing to other provisions of Minute No. 242. <br /> <br />The report states that the operations were in compliance with the <br />agreement. The differential for the calendar year 1990 between (1) <br />the average salinity of the waters delivered upstream of Morelos Dam <br />and (2) the average salinity of the Colorado River waters arriving at <br />Imperial Dam was 125 ppm (U.S. count), 117 ppm (Mexican count). <br /> <br />Enclosure: <br />As Stated <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br /> <br />!i~~naji <br /> <br />Commissioner <br />
