Specific facilities for supplying Pueblo and the <br />valley towns with municipal water include a pumping plant <br />at the Pueblo ResGI'voir, a water treatment plant, a dual <br />pipeline to Pueblo and a small regluating reservoir, a trunk <br />pipeline about 130 miles in length to Lamar, and about 36 <br />miles of branch pipelines to Crowley, Wiley, and Eads. <br /> <br />5'7. The municipal water supply system would involve <br />no unusual construction problems or difficulties in secur- <br />ing rights-of-way. <br /> <br />Construction schedule <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />58. About 10 years would be required to construct <br />the Initial Development. Early concurrent construction of <br />the ASpen, Twin Lakes, and Pueblo Reservoirs, the Fryingpan- <br />Arkansas Tunnel, and several Eastern Slope canals is planned <br />to facilitate filling the reservoirs. The Western Slope <br />collection system would be expanded gradually from the trans- <br />mountain tunnel. All hydrop1ants except Pueblo have been <br />scheduled for simultaneous completion so their operation can <br />be integrated as a unit. <br /> <br />Water supply <br /> <br />59.
