As a result, these benefits <br />were increased from $961,000 to $1,599,000. The Corps of Engineer's letter <br />report dated April 10, 1969 is appended to this reevaluation statement. <br /> <br />The Corps' of Engineers has completed a preliminary appraisal of flood <br />control aspects for Bijou and lower South Platte valleys. They have found a <br />feasible solution for alleviating a significant portion of damages presently <br />experienced. Their flood control proposal does not depend on, but rather <br />complements, the Narrows Project. Therefore, the contingent condition <br />relating to Bijou valley flood control as described on pages 35 and 36 <br />of the January 1967 Narrows Project report has been satisfied. <br /> <br />5 <br />
