7

The fishery of Jackson Lake has been reevaluated as a stable, ;cold-
water, high-quality walleye pike and bass fishery. The lake would
be so,.ma,naged and in view of the scarcity of and the high demand
for this type of a fishery, which would be unique to the Narrows
Unit area, fishing would be valued highly on this lake. Intensive
management for fish and wildlife would help realize the high fish-
ery potential of this lake. Total increased benefits associated
with the lake through rehabi litation of Jackson Lake Dam and inclu-
sion of the fish production unit would amount to $150,000 annually.

The tai lwater and downstream fishery in the South Platte River has
been reevaluated as a coldwater fishery. Increased annual benefits
associated with this fishery would amount to $25,500.

Table 2 provides a comparison of the various fish and wi ldlife uses
on a project basis, both without and with the project in operation,
and shows the source of the benefits. Although the data presented
in Table 2 are the same as shown in Table I on page 3 of our 1966
report, the information is presented herein in order to present a
complete benefit analysis in this report supplement. Table 2 re-
places Table 1 in the synoptic portion of our August 1966 report.
