Tbere are 5,975 acres of inteTJDittently irrigated Class 6w <br />lands which are not qualified for project irrigation and 34,705 acres of <br />Class 6 non-irrigated and non-irrigable lands. <br /> <br />Federal reclamation law limits the delivery of project water to Dot <br />more than 160 acres per indiVidual or per corporation, or in the csse of <br />II. 1lI8n end "ife to 320 acres. An analysis of OIffiership records showed <br />2,708 acres or about 14 percent of the project lands as being held in this <br />excess status. <br /> <br />Agricultural Econo~cs <br /> <br />Detailed agricultural economic studies were made to measure the <br />effects that the project would have on the agricultural econoll\Y of the <br />area. In making the studies, recognition was g~ven to the effects of <br />such factors as climate, quality of land, farm size, land use, crop <br />yields, and farJll expenses and income. <br /> <br />METHOD OF ANALYSIS <br /> <br />For study purposes the Trinidad service area was divided into four <br />tracts, each having its own economic characteristics. TIle four economic <br />tracts and the ditch systems which comprise them are as follows: <br /> <br />1. Model Ditch Tract (Model Ditch only) <br />2.
