Because <br /> <br />the EQ projects do not ,alleviate the land resource ,as much as the alternate <br /> <br />plan, the without situation shows slightly less adverse effect than <br /> <br />the EQ plan in year 2000 ($7,000). In year 2020 the difference is <br />slightly greater ($8,000). As with the alternate plan, the dollar <br /> <br />adverse effect was extrapolated to year 2078 at the same rate as the <br /> <br />without situation ($80,200). Discounting the area (Oa'b'c'f) <br />to 1978 and amortizing to 2078 yielded an adverse effect of $183,800. <br />Subtracting this from the without plan gave a difference of $4,100 <br /> <br />annually. This was deducted from the irrigation benefits in the <br /> <br />EQ account display. <br /> <br />- II - <br />
