This return flow is from ditch and reservoir irrigation downstream <br />of the dam. It is diverted both above and below the Narrows Dam site. <br /> <br />When the river dries up downstream of Narrows, water will not normally be stored <br />in Narrows. <br /> <br />Narrows Reservoir will reduce the flow of the South Platte River into Nebraska <br />substantially. <br />
