The marketable energy in an average water

year is sufficient to supply energy up to a maximum of

2,550 kilowatt-hours per kilowatt of power contracted

for in each 6-month season. The Western Division power

sales contracts provide that starting in 1976 the United

States may, if necessary, limit seasonal energy deliveries

to 2,550 kilowatt-hours per kilowatt of the customer's

contract rate of delivery. It should be noted that of

the total 1962 power allocation, approximately ll,OOO kw

became available for reallocation in 1967 because certain

allot tees either did not contract for their allotment or

they turned back a portion of their allotment, and sub-

sequently the ll,OOO kw was reallocated to existing

customers in western Nebraska except Tri-State G&T.

Tri-State had previously contracted for non-Federal

auxiliary service. The reallocation of the ll,OOO kw

permitted increases in the allotments to the other

customers in western Nebraska sufficie~t to meet their

estimated 1975 requirements. It should be noted, also,

that Western Division customers within the Colorado

River Storage Project market area - Colorado and Wyoming -

IS
