ussed Kansas was taking their problems to the Supreme

Court 01' the United States. The first Supreme Court case
was in 1907, which was found to favor Colorado, however it
allowed for the case to be reopened. This Colorado-Kansas

conflict caused many problems which diverted from the pro-

ject of supplemental water in the Arkansas Valley. In fllct

the Arkansas River were achieved from 1910-1929, because
the Arkansas Val.l.ey Ditch Association was involved in the
Kansas-Colorado controversy and they were also the main
