However, during most years, this <br /> <br />ditch provides a substantial amount of water to irrigators on the <br /> <br />Rio Grande side. In 1975. the Weminuche pass diversion transported <br /> <br />1,550 AF to the Rio Grande basin, by far the largest amount diverted <br /> <br />from the Colorado to the Rio Grande basin. <br /> <br />The pine River-Weminuche Pass Ditch (Fuchs Ditch) diverts from <br /> <br />the North Fork of the pine River to Weminuche Creek. It has a <br /> <br />decree for 18 cfs. The ditch is also located on the divide between <br /> <br />the two drainages and is faced with the same limitations as the <br /> <br />Weminuche Pass Ditch. The pine River-Weminuch Pass Ditch went into <br /> <br />service in 1937.
