O~ ~ - -"
u.:::.;, ~:1

INTRODUCTION

The information presented in this paper was prepared to aid the

MBSA Board of Directors in adopting programs of the Association for FY83

and beyond. The paper was prepared to provide information for the Board

wh~ch is meeting as a committee of the whole on January 28, 1981. It is

being transmitted in advance to allow Directors time to review the

information prior to the meeting.

Proposed Association programs are presented in two groups. First

are those tentatively adopted by the Board on December 15, 1981 as part

of the FY32 and beyond "Functions and Programs" package proposed by the

Policy and Program Committee. Second are several programs which have

been discussed in the past or which are being proposed for the first

time but were not considered by the Policy and Program Committee.

Preliminary estimates of staff time and cost have been provided for

each program. It must be recognized that time and costs can vary considerably

depending upon the level or degree of program accomplishment. Those

provided are intended to achieve a useful and adequate level and are not

intended to be low or high.

1
