We have a huge challenge in educating the citizens of Colorado as to why
these two initiatives are not only bad for the San Luis Valley, but for the state as a whole.

As the number of voters representing an agrarian lifestyle steadily declines, presenting
issues critical to agricultural production becomes more and more of a challenge. Putting
them on the ballot will require a strong educational process,

We need your help. Citizens will be looking for guidance from our state's leaders,
Participating in this event, supporting the opponents of these initiatives, will send a
strong message to all of Colorado. Join us on Oct. 19.

If you would like to have your name added to the list of organizations and citizens
opposed to initiatives 15 and 16, please mail or fax your signed statement on your official
letterhead to Colorado Farm Bureau. Even better yet, prepare and distribute a press
release expressing your opposition and send us a copy with your signature, We need to
get as much exposure as possible within the next few critical weeks.

If you have any questions, please contact Karen Stewart at 303-749-7509 or Ray
Christensen at 303-749-7505,

Vote 'NO' on the water grab initiatives 15 & 16

Living beside you.
