As a result of this con1'erence, the original. programs for <br />the project were revised. <br /> <br />Mr. J. Be Riter, Chief of the HTdrology Division from the <br />Denver office, and Messrs. P. L. Sharkey and. E. W. Rowland, Regional <br />aydrologists, reviewed the ~ter studies made by the Project aydrolo- <br />gist on Mq 15 and 16. On Ktq 16 and 17, Mr. J. Be Davis of the <br />Regional Power Utilization Section, the Regional aydrologists, Project <br />Hydrologist, and Project Planning Engineer discussed with the Project <br />lilngineer the desirability of reo-programming all the potential power <br />sites original.ly surveyed on a reconnaissance basis. <br /> <br />On Ktq 22, a con1'erence was held with the Regional Soil <br />Scientist, Project Engineer and Project Soil Scientists reviewing the <br />local salinity, alkalinity and ground water (water movement and <br />draiJ:lage) problem. On Mq 23 and 214-, the conference was continued <br />with the addition of the folloving personnel in attendancel <br /> <br />Dr. Be Gardner of the Colorado A &, M College <br />Dr. M. Fireman of the U.S. Regional Salinity Laboratory <br />Dr. L.B. Nelson of the Bureau of Plant Industry, Soil &, <br />Agriculture Engineer, Ft. Collins <br />V.G. Harper of the Bureau of Plant Industry, Soil &, <br />Agriculture Engineer, Riverside, Calif. <br />R.S. Decker, J.E. Jar and E.M. Payne of Soil Conservation <br />Service . <br /> <br />Messrs. E. W. Lane, V. C. Thomas and C. R. Miller of the <br />Chief Engineer's office visited the project on May 23 to 25 relative <br />the special canal studies being undertaken on project land.
