<br />~ <br /> <br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Offi~e <br />March 1998 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of March was computed <br />to be 5575 acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3, There were 323 AF net San Juan. <br />Chama (SJ-C) losses, as shown in Table 2. There was 2329 AF diverted through <br />Azotea Tunnel th is month. <br /> <br />There was f total of 5534 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron. There were <br />17635 AF of SJ-C water released from Heron, of which 3689 AF was sent to the City <br />of Albuquerque (the City) in Abiquiu, this is part of the City's 1997 allocation. <br />13948 AF was released from the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD) to <br />thei r pool in El Vado. <br /> <br />There was 1937 AF of SJ-C water released from Abiquiu, of which 1089 AF was sent <br />to Cochiti, and 848 AF was sent to Jemez. <br /> <br />There was 1.60 inches of precipitation at <br />March (running) average of 1. 70 inches. <br />Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Heron Reservoir, which is 94% of the <br />The monthly computations for Heron <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 567 AF. There were 7 <br />AF of losses on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez <br />Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and <br />evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in <br />Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
