<br /> <br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />January 1998 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of January was computed <br />to be 147 acre.feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were -1 AF net San Juan- <br />Chama (SJ-C) losses, as shown in Table 2. There were no diversions through <br />Azotea Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was a total of 147 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron, of which the <br />total was seepage. There were 3689 AF of SJ-C water released from Heron, of <br />which the total was sent to the City of Albuquerque (the City) in Abiquiu, this <br />is part of the City's 1997 allocation. <br /> <br />There was 1670 AF of SJ-C water released from Abiquiu, of which the total was <br />sent to Cochiti. <br /> <br />There was 0.79 inches of precipitation at Heron Reservoir, which is 58% of the <br />January (running) average of 1.35 inches. The monthly computations for Heron <br />Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 234 AF. There were no <br />losses on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez <br />Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and' <br />evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in <br />Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
