The river basin simulation model described herein was developed
by the Engineering and Research Center, Bureau of Reclamation, Denver,
Colorado, with assistance irom the Bureau of Reclamation Regional
Offices in Salt Lake City. Utah. and Boulder City, Nevada, and the
Hydrology and Water'Resources Program at Colora;do State University,
lort Collins, Co}orado~
The initial concepts were developed and early work on the applica-
tion of synthetic hydrology to Bureau of Reclamation studies was per-
formed by Albert E. Gibbs and'Eugene A. Cristofano, ,both with the
Engineering and Research Center, Denver. As othershave become in-
volved in the effort, Mr. Gibbs and Mr. Cristofano have played a major
role in guiding the work and in providing training. Current work to im..
prove usability of the simulation model is being accomplished by the
authors under the guidance of Mr. Gibbs. Mr. :Main is presently im..
proving the simulation model by streamlining calculation procedures,
finding methods to reduce costs per run, and making other refinements
to make the program easier to use. Dr. Lane is improving calculation
proct:dures and runnin"g costs of the synthetic generation program.
Individuals who hay~: contributed significantly to the development of the
model and associa-i~1-(r computer programs but are n,? longer involved are:
