<br />. <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1m <br /> <br />APPENDIX "C" <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Arkansas River Compact <br />Administration in annual meeting on December 9,1970: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the members of the Arkansas River Compact <br />Administration deem it their responsibility to recognize the <br />outstanding service of Wilbur D. Heckler who served from his <br />appointment by the President of the United States on January 25, 1967 <br />until his resignation became effective May 20, 1970 as Chairman of the <br />Administration and Representative of the United States; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. his active interest in the obligation of the <br />Administration to tollow the tenets of the Compact created a <br />harmonious atmosphere between the members and residents of the <br />Arkansas Valley; and <br /> <br />WHER EAS, his vigorous efforts in performing the duties of <br />Chairman and Representative of the United States shall be greatly <br />missed by the Compact Administration; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VEa that deep regrel ;5 <br />hereby expressed al the resignation of Wilbur D. Heckler in that the <br />States of Colorado and Kansas will be losing the services of an able and <br />devoted public servant and that each member of this Administration <br />extends best wishes for good health and happiness; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be in the <br />records of this Administration and that the secretary be instructed to <br />mail c1 copy to Mr. Heckler. <br /> <br />-29- <br />
