<br />On April 1, storage in this reservoir was 196,049 acre feet. Re-
<br />lease for irrigation was begun on April 1 and continued throughout the
<br />season.
<br />
<br />The Colorado Game, Fish, and Parks Departmerlt has petitioned the
<br />District Court to allow a. transfer of 5,000 acre feet storage right from
<br />Muddy Creek (Setchfield) Reservoir into John Martin as a start for a per-
<br />manent pool. Muddy Creek Da.m, about 24 miles southwest of John Martin
<br />on a tributary of Rule Creek, washed out in the 1965 nood. This reservoir
<br />has seldom, if ever, retained as much as 5,000 acre feet. In addition, there
<br />has been no permission obtained from the Arkansas River Compllet Com-
<br />mission to store this water in John Martin. The Amity, along with several
<br />other parties, has filed objection to any such transfer.
