Basic Course <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Principles and Practice of Air Pollution Control <br />3 Weeks <br /> <br />The responsibility of the Federal Government's Environ- <br />mental Protection Agency to provide leadership 8-nel assis- <br />tance to Stata end local air pollution control agencies in the <br />recruitment and development of qualified personnel is a <br />major theme of the 1970 Clean Air Act. <br />To meet these growinlt manpower needs, classroom, <br />laboratory, and field training are combined in this intensive <br />four.wElE!k course in air pollution control conducted by the <br />IMtitute tor Air Pollution Training. <br /> <br />This basic three-week cour.se provides a comprenensilie <br />introduction to the technology of air pollution control. The <br />studant receives clessroom training in the principles and <br />practice of identificatOO of 9:!uroes, effects., pollution COl'l. <br />trol technology, legal bases for control, meteorology, and <br />program administration.
