<br />St,ltt:S un the AJministriltil1n since it WitS urganized in 1949, died <br />Fehruary 16, lY57. <br />The sentiments of the Administration were expressed in a Resolu- <br />tlun adoptrd Milrch 29, 1\)57, which is incorporated in this reroft, <br />Appendix "C". <br />The Chairmanship remained vacant until August 14, 1957, when <br />President Eisenhower appointed Carl G, Paulsen, 4000 Cathedral Ave- <br />nue N, W., Washington, D. C., former chief nydraulic engineer of <br />U. S. GeologicJl Survey to serve as Representative of the UniteJ States. <br />The terms of four members expired during the year, Roland H. <br />Tate and William E. Leavitt representing Kansas and Harry R. Menden- <br />hall and Harry C. Nevius representing Colorado. All four h.ld served <br />.sinc(' the AclmjnistratHm was organi2;cd in 194\) ,lnd the first three had <br />idso served on the Kansas-Colorado Compact CommiSSIOn during the <br />drafting of the Compact. The fourth member had scrvcJ as Administra, <br />tion Secretary from the organi2;iltion clate. <br />A resolution W,IS adopted October 22, 1957 expressing gratituJe for <br />the ~rvices of the members of the Administration who retired durin~ <br />the Compact~Ycilr. and is included in this report as Appendix "D". - <br />On May 20, 1957, Governor Docking of Kansas ;tppointcd Lugan <br />N. Green of Garden City to succeed Roland H. Tate and Carl E. Ben- <br />trup of Dcerfield to succeed William E. Lea.vitt effective June 7, 1957. <br />On July 16, 1957. Governor McNichols of Colorado appointed <br />David Jenkins of Las Animas in Water Districts No. 14 and No. 17 tCl <br />succeed Harry R.
