<br />IJlll 91) :1 <br /> <br />- 5 - <br /> <br />(f) To cooperate with the United Statee, or any of <br />the agenoies thereof, in the making of preliminary surveys, and <br />sbaring the expense thereof, when necessary, respecting the <br />engineering and economio fell8ibil1ty of any proposod water <br />conaervati?n or. flood control project within the State of <br />Colorado, designed for the purpose of bringing about greater <br />utilisation of the waters of this state. <br /> <br />(g) To formulate and prepare drafts of legislation, <br />state and federal, designed to IIBsist in securing greater <br />beneficial use and utilizat.ion of the waters of the state <br />and protection from flood damages} <br /> <br />(h) To investigate the plane, purposes and aotiVitias <br />of other atatea, and ot the federal government, Which might affeot <br />the interstate waters of Colorado} <br /> <br />(1) To confer with and a~pear before the officers, <br />representatives, boards, bureaus, commit.tees, commissions, or <br />other agencies of other states, or of the federal government, <br />for the purpose of proteoting and asserting the authority, <br />interests and rights of the state at Oolorado And its oitiaens <br />ovor, in and to ~he watere of the interstate streams in this <br />sta~eJ <br /> <br />(j) In general, to take euch action and have suob <br />powers as may l'e incidental to the :foregoing specific provisions <br />and to the general purposes of this Act} provided, however, that <br />nothing in this Aot contained shall be construed as restricting <br />or limiting the adm1n1stratl ve functions or authon t)' of the <br />State Engineer, inoluding the gathering of data respecting the <br />water supplies of this state, or restricting or limiting the <br />statutory powers of the State Planning Commission, and <br /> <br />Frovided, further. that any studies, investigatiODII <br />or data respecting the strellJlls or water suppliee of this state, <br />heretofore or hel"einafter made or compiled by the State Engineer, <br />the State Planning OomnJission, or any other department, of rice or <br />bureau of thie state shall be Jllllde available for the use of this <br />Board upon request. <br /> <br />(k) The Board shall lend its full aid and cooperati'Jn <br />to the Attorney General in all matters relating to the institution <br />or defense of interstate suits, controversies or negotiatiOn5 <br />concerning the rivers of this statel and shall arrange for and <br />conduct, either nt.bin the s~ate or elsewhere, all inveetigations <br />and studies, and make compilations of all ini'ormation, tactual, <br />engineering, or other data concerning interetate streams whioh <br />may be deemed requisite or desirable for use in the conduct of <br />such suits, controversies or negotiations." <br />
