TASK NO: 11

A~uatic Resource Studies

SUBTASK NO: lIb

Agency Consultation

PURPOSE:

Resource agency consultation initiated during previous studies for
the NCWCD will be continued to maintain agency consensus on scope
of work and methodologies used in conducting any additional field
studies. Continued consultation efforts will be scheduled to keep
agencies informed of the progress of field work and to resolve any
issues which arise as a result of the studies in progress.

APPROACH:

A copy of the literature review and scope of work will be provided
to all federal and state agencies with an interest in the effects
of the proposed project on aquatic life. Following their review of
these documents, a meeting will be conducted to review project
features with agency representatives. The goals of the
consultation are to obtain consensus on:

- The adequacy of the literature review,
- A definition of aquatic life study area boundaries, and
- The scope of additional work to be performed.

Additional meetings will be scheduled as needed to review the
studies in progress and address any issues which may arise.

6162a

11-4
