<br />5.2 Establish a minimum viable Dopulation study at the Kanab Canyon <br />DODulation of the Kanab ambersnail. <br /> <br />A minimum viable population study will be established in the <br />Kanab Canyon population of the Kanab ambersnail. There is a <br />possibility that this small population may not be at <br />demographically stable levels for long term survival. <br /> <br />5.3 Establish a minimum viable Dopulation study at the Vasey Paradise <br />population of the Kanab ambersnail. <br /> <br />Minimum viable population monitoring sites will be established <br />strategically within the Vaseys Paradise population so that the <br />total variation of habitat types and degree of habitat use will <br />be represented in the monitoring sites. <br /> <br />6. Develop public awareness. appreciation and support for the <br />conservation. of the Kanab ambersnail. <br /> <br />Education is a vital part of the recovery process. The cooperation of <br /> <br />the public is essential in the ultimate success of the above recovery <br /> <br />measures. This can be started with educational programs such as <br /> <br />pamphlets and audio-visual programs for use in schools and groups <br /> <br />interested in conservation. <br /> <br />21 <br />
