<br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />UNITED STATES BUREAU OF RECLAMATt'ml <br /> <br />he total appropriations for fiscal '!:ear ending 1989 for the <br />Bonneville Unit of the Central Utah Project was <br />$151,453,000. which includes Section 5 and Seaion 8 money. <br />Currently, the Bureau of Reclamation is monitoring Upper <br />Stillwater and all report.s show that the stabili:ation of the red sand <br />and the turbidity problems appear to have been resolved. At Syar <br />Tunnel, they have excavated 320 feet of the 370 feet anticipated for <br />this winter. \\Then completed. the wood \....iII be 6\.1 million feet long <br />with an 81h foot diameter steel reinforced concrete pipe. and will <br />deliver water from Strawberry Reservoir into Diamond Fork and the <br />Monks Hollow configuration. <br />The adits at Monks Holloware nearing completion. The pUfp4.'lSe of <br />the adits at the dam site are to provide access to take measurements of <br />the rock which will indicate its stability. <br />The President submitted a budget of $135,324.000 for the Central <br />Utah Project, Fiscal Year 1990. Section; portion of the budget is <br />$116,170,000. $3,000,000 was earmarked for the collection system, <br />$83.000.000 for the Municipal and Industrial System, and $35,000.000 <br />for the Diamond Fork System. <br />
