Any control measure implemented in Sinbad Valley must
comply with both the procedural and substantive
requirements of Colorado water law.

2. We recommend that the lead responsibility for this project
be trans ferred to the Bureau of Reclamation.

3. We recommend that BLM initiate detailed management plans
at the earliest possible date on Lewis Wash, Indian Wash
and Leach Creek near Grand .Junction; Little Salt Wash and
Big Salt Wash near Fruita; East Salt Creek, Badger Wash,
and West Salt Creek near Mack in the Grand Junction
Resource Area. In the Glenwood Springs Resource Area,
plans should be started on Big Alkali Creek near Castle
Peak; Horse Creek, willow Creek, and Poison Creek near
Burns; and Government Creek and West Rifle Creek near
Rifle.

If you have any questions on these comments, please contact
Dan Law or me.

-.

Sincerely,

~

J.
