Beginning in 1991 planning season, the Gr-and Junction <br />Field Office wi II tr-ack wetlands closer- and wi II r-'.por-t the following <br />items: <br /> <br />1 - Tr-acking upland and wetland habitat by acr-es <br />2 - Wetland inventor-y for- contr-acted fields by acr-es and types <br />3 - Wetlands impacted (positive and negative) by 1) acr-es, 2) <br />types, 3) condition (high and low), and 4) ar-tificial <br />ver-sus natur-al <br /> <br />The Gr-and Junction Field Office is wor-king on a complete tr-acking <br />system in addition to the one mentioned above. Attempts wi I I be made <br />to tr-ack all conser-vation pr-actices that ar-e r-ecor-ded in the <br />Conser-vation Plans for- both upland and wetland habitat development. <br />This wi II pr-ovide for- the Gr-and Valley a good data base for- futur-e <br />land use decisions. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Some changes need to be made in the PIP to a II ow nEleded pr-act ices to <br />be cost-shar-eable under- SRP-3 and SRP-4 designations (Refer- to Table I <br />of PIP). This would str-eaml ine wi Idl ife planning and administr-ation <br />of this par-t of the pr-ogr-am. <br /> <br />The Final Repor-t indicated that al I r-equir-ements of the 1983 M&E Plan <br />have been met. We wi II continue to plan and tr-ack our- year-Iy <br />pr-ogr-ess. A meeting of inter-discipl inar-y per-sonne I should be <br />scheduled to discuss the dir-ection and futur-e r-equir-ements of Wildlife <br />in the M&E Plans for- the Gr-and Valley. <br /> <br />47 <br />
