It also gives the
dates of the various meetings.

There will, of course, be no definite decisions
come from this meeting on July 7th at Pagosa
Springs. However. the opinions expresed will be
considered and local residents will gain much
knowledge of the planning and study process. This
could be very helpful as the study progresses.

The inclusion of the tributaries to the Piedra in the
study area have already worked hardships on this
area. If they are classified in the study, then a long
and hard light could be ahead to keep the entire
county from being locked up. The only hopeful sign
at the moment is the fact that Congressman Evans
has introduced a bill in Congress to remove them
tram the study area.

That doesn't mean that local effort in every
direction can be forgotten. More pressure from more
directions and from more people will have more
impact. It is to the best interests of everyone in the
county to attend the meeting July 7 and make their
opinions heard.
