Seasonal <br />precipitation totals, October through l~,are 110 to 200 percent of normal above <br />Flaming GOl'ge, 80 to 120 percent in the Duchesne Basin, 50 to 100% in southeastern <br />Utah and gl'eater than 150 percent in the \Vhite and Yampa drainages. <br /> <br />Record temperatures in May produced very high flows throughout the Green River <br />Basin. Many seasonal peaks have occurred on the Yampa and lower Green River, with <br />peaks still to corne in the upper portions of the Green River basin. A~ord peak <br />.Q[ near_25,300 cfs occurred on th~Yam~g at Maybell o~fuy 17. The previous record <br />was 17,900 cfs in 1917. The ~lliy monthly volume at Yampa at Steamboat Springs, was <br />197,400 acre~feet, a new record high from measurements back to 1910. The May flow <br />for Green River at Green Rivel', Utah was 1.937 million acre-feet, the second highest <br />lJay flow since 1911. Extensive flooding occurred on the upper reaches of Little <br />Snake River near the towns of Baggs and Dixon, Wyoming. Lowland or pasture flooding <br />was quite common over most of the basin below Flaming Gorge Reservoir. ~~gh flows <br />on the Duchesne near Randlett, washed away the gaging and telemetry equipmenc at <br />that site. Mud flows in eastern Utah were responsible for one death. <br /> <br />SAN JUAN ~I~~ BASIN: <br />adequate su~plies with <br />on May 1, ranging from <br /> <br />The water supply outlook for the San Juan Basin indicates <br />streamflow forecasts generally unchanged from those issued <br />107 to 132% of normal. <br /> <br />May precipitation.was below normal.
