This ohligation <br />is being repaid in accordance with the Boulder Canyon Project power <br />contracts of 1930 and the Boulder Canyon Project Adjustment Act of 1940. <br />TIle rate of repayment, after operation and maIntenance cost6 are <br />deducted, is approximately $7 million per year. At that rate of <br />amortization, $147 million will be repaid to the United States Treasury, <br />",ith interest, by 1987. The remBininf, $25 million of reimhursable <br />project cost is allocated to flood control, and ,-epRyrnent has been <br />deferred without interest until June 1, 1987. After that d"te, <br />repayt:\ent of the $25 million to the U. S.
