These objectives follow:

Colorado Sauawfish:

1) Establish, maintain and protect naturally self-sustaining populations
and their habitats throughout the squawfish'5 present range.

2) Legally protect habitat and remove the threat of significant
fragmentation.
3) 14 v.~. ~, 4- II\.QA~ O-,{'is:-
Razorback Sucker:

1) Capture. secure and provide refugia for individual representatives of
presumptive genetic populations.

2) Maintain and enhance wild populations and their habitat.

3) Augment. if necessary. existing populations.

Based on existing information and future research, sDecific goals will be
prepared for the San Juan River using distribution/abundance data collected in
previous efforts as well as using information collected during the proposed
program outlined herein. The specific goals will reflect the need to protect
these fishes in the San Juan River and will recognize the value and
contribution these fishes make to recovery of the species throughout their
range.

10
