Remove all causes of present aod future controversy between the states concerning the <br />wate.rs of the Rio Grande above FL Quitman. Texas (preamble) <br />2. Promote interstate comity (Preamble) <br />3. Effect an equitable apportionment of tbe waters of the Rio Grande above Ft. Quitman, <br />Texas (Preamble) <br /> <br />Salient Provisions: <br /> <br />1. "Rio Grande Basin~ means aU of the territory drained by the Rio Grande and its <br />tributaries in Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas above Ft Quitman, including the Oosed <br />Basin of Colorado. (Art. I) <br />2. The Commission shall cause to be maintained and operated, among others, the following <br />stream gaging stations: (Art. II) <br /> <br />3. Rio Grande near Del Norte above the principal points of diversion to the San Luis <br />Valley <br />b. Conejos River near Magote <br />c. Los Pinos River near Ortiz <br />cL San Antonio River at Ortiz <br />e. Conejos River at its mouth near Las Sauses <br />f. Rio Grande near Lobates <br />g. Automatic water stage recorders on all reservoirs constructed after 1929, as well as <br />stream gaging stations below such reservoirs. <br /> <br />3. Colorado is obliged to deliver at Lobatos the sum of the amounts set forth in the delivery <br />schedules for the Conejos River and the Rio Grande less 10,000 AF. The Conejos Index <br />:"_: -';.;:.e:-':~"":'7'Supply includes.the San Antonio River.and_~.;Pinos)tivc:r f1~ for.themonth1cAprilif~~T~';""},:~:-..;!"'_- <br />-" ',c"c.c.c', ."', through October, These schedules require'iert>"deliveryfor an index of 100,000 AF. upIO-."":-"~~'" ,., <br />68% delivery for an index of 700,000 AF on the Conejos, and 30% delivery for an index of <br />200,000 AF. and up to 60% delivery for an index of 1,400,000 AF on the Rio Grande (see <br />attached graph).
