From a control structure located at the <br />Prospect Mountain Tunnel, water is delivered to the po....er plant <br />through three 78-1nch diameter steel penstocks, 3,983 feet long. <br />Three vertical-shaft type generating units, driven by 21,000 horse- <br />power hydraulic turbine 5 for an installed capec! ty of 45,000 kilo- <br />watts and an average operating head of 534 feet, ....ill produce an <br />average of approximately 120 million kil.o....att-hours annually. Con- <br />ventional outdoor-type s....ltchyard facilities are located east of the <br />paver plant.
