II mg
3.26 mg

Extending studies beyond the tenth year using a similar
analysis of water requirement for the project, it is found that
by the year 2003, the average daily requirement will be 2.3
million gallons and the peak demand will be 6.26 million gal-
lons per day.

It should be noted that the above amounts make no allow-
ance for the use of water for the irrigation of lawns and
gardens, industrial expansion, the supplying of water to the
Town of Fruita, the Clifton District, the City of Grand
Junction or such other areas as the Jacobs Ladder Small Home-
stead area. No allowance has been made for the demand of large
cattle and sheep herds which range above the Highline Canal
during the winter months. In the past these herds and others
within the district have received water from canals which have
been operated periodically through the winter. This practice
will be halted by the ditch companies as soon as Ute water is
available.

- 28 -

-
"II","" ",h'
