The
purpose of this study is to obtain the amount of salt pick-up within the
basin and have a record with which to compare after the salinity reduction
measures have been installed. Ground water inflow into this area has been
determined by the Bureau of Reclamation to be of little significance compared
to the annual accretion of 50,000 tons of salt per year determined for the
year 1974,

The following pages are a detail publication of the data received from
U,S,G.S,

Formulae for the conversion of the specific conductivity to parts per
million and tons per day are derived from U.S.G.S. laboratory analysis.

:\~
.'
